The transformation of higher education and the accelerated unfolding of its future is profoundly unprecedented. The events of 2020 facilitated unimaginable shifts, pivots, and radical change throughout the academy, as institutions grappled to respond to the pandemic, remote learning, justice, and equity issues and balance pre-pandemic budgetary, enrollment, quality, perception, and impact challenges.  While most institutions began developing strategic plans focused on the future for the path forward to 2025 before the events of 2020, for most, the plans may not fully address the continued and impending tension and pressures they will face through 2030.

I have a unique blended background in corporate strategy, consulting, and higher education administration and faculty roles with public, private, and top-tier universities. I am an expert on both the future of work and higher education and provide strategic insights for two global advisory firms. I provided guidance and insights on the future of higher education that were developed into the strategic plan of one of the largest community college districts in the United States. My doctoral research at USC centered on the role of higher education in the future of work.
